I the 1970's a renegade Italian winemaker created the first Super Tuscan by breaking the rules.  He blended Sangiovese- the holy gail of Italian wines-with non-Italian Cabernet.  Nello joins the creative blending rebellion each year with a new Super Tuscan style wine fusion.  This 2019 entry unites Barbera and Sangiovese with hints of Merlot and Petite Sirah for a surprising, well balanced, and mouth-watering rule bender.

Nello's taste preferences come through in all his wines, but especially here.  Toscanello is Nello's signature wine and gets the blending team's first focus each year.  They sample every estate wineand select the best for blending.  In this 2019 vintage, Petite Sirah (40%), Sagrantino (40%), and Malbec (20%) combine to present a big, bold, well-balanced winealmost too flavorful to fit in the bottle.  What could be more Nello?
