In Italy’s Umbria region lies the village of Montefalco—Nello’s ancestral home. Here thrives the rare Sagrantino grape which produces wine higher in antioxidants than any other wine. Its high tannic structure is similar to that of pure cocoa.

Nello's graftings have taken a healthy grip, and now Montefalco Sagrantino thrives in his Cameron Park, California vineyard.

Full-bodied and dry, with waves of potent plum, blackberries, licorice and deep forrest essence. Serve it with earthy, rich and hearty dishes but only after decanting for an hour or two.
