Our 100% estate Viognier is classically aromatic and full-bodied.

Viognier is sometimes called "the red-wine-lover's white." In Italy it's not uncommon for Viognier to be used to bolster some reds.

Nello's Viognier brings out the favored characteristics of good Viogniers, is full-bodied, dry with medium acidity and delivers fresh-tasting aromas of orange blossom, mandarin, apricot, mango and honey.

Originally from Southern France, Viognier (“vee-own-yay”) now enjoys popularity in California and Australia. It has been thriving in Nello’s vineyard since 2001. Consider it a less buttery alternative to Chardonnay.

Pair with foods that are not acidic or bold. Light meats, seafood, savory dishes cooked with fruit or nuts, light herbs. Young cheeses.
